Mr. Silvano Coletti is an important player in the renewable energy space with transboundary operations in Europe and abroad. He is based in Switzerland.
He’s managing Chelonia SA – the Swiss advisory firm that offer value added services and assistance for project development in renewable sector. The team leaded by Coletti is active in development of renewable power projects from green field to construction, engineering and project financing. And the challenge to form and inform local communities on opportunities and advantages resulting from projects and investments are part of the service.
Mr. Coletti is a prolific promoter of social initiatives for making of capacity building, locally and globally. Every business venture and each single project is guided by 3 concepts: People-Planet-Profit. The project has to be perfectly integrated with needs and willing of local community. This sounds good from technical and financial point of view giving chance for better local project ”environment” , better security package to show to the investors and finally better financial leverage.
Today Mr. Coletti is dealing with renewable electricity generating projects with a growing great interest also to clean technologies. Following experiences as CEO and managing director of wind, solar and biomass power generation companies, he is mainly focussed on four asset classes: wind, solar, biomass and biogas. His capacity in the social sector comes from his relevant experience as delegate at the United Nations in New York City from 2002 to 2007 on behalf of the pan-african NGO “InterAfrican Union for Human Rights”.
Mr. Coletti is the recipient of a number of nominations and patronages. He studied at School of Engineering of Milan Polytechnic and joined executive education at Harvard Business School in Cambridge, MA. He is member of a number of associations of which International Society for Industrial Ecology and MIT Energy Club . Silvano Coletti is a widely read columnist.
